Two Courts Take Top Honors in Hillyard’s 2026 Gym Floor of the Year Contest
Before the first whistle, the gym floor is already on display. Players warm up, fans find their seats, and the court that crews have spent hours preparing becomes the center of attention. Hillyard’s 2026 Gym Floor of the Year contest gave that work a moment of its own.
Congratulations to Fairmont Junior/Senior High School in Minnesota and Peters Township High School in Pennsylvania. Each won its bracket, and both winning courts were finished with Hillyard Trophy H2O. The photos below show the courts that earned this year’s honors.
Fairmont Junior/Senior High School Wins the Hillyard Representative Bracket
The Fairmont Cardinals have another reason to celebrate their home court. Hillyard Representative Paul Augustad photographed the winning floor at Fairmont Junior/Senior High School, located at 900 East Johnson St., Fairmont, MN 56031. We congratulate the Fairmont team whose work keeps the court ready for students and athletes throughout the school year.

About Fairmont Area Schools
Fairmont Area Schools serves students from early childhood through high school in southern Minnesota. At the junior and senior high school, students can earn college credit while still in high school and explore career paths through vocational academies in fields such as agriculture, construction, and welding. Students can also take part in Cardinal athletics, robotics, and speech.
Peters Township High School Wins the Independent Representative Bracket
At Peters Township High School, the gym has a busy schedule. The Rolling Hills campus, which opened in 2021, is home to varsity basketball, volleyball, and wrestling. Peters Township School District educates more than 4,000 students across five schools in southwestern Pennsylvania. The district serves students from kindergarten through grade 12, with three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. At Peters Township High School, students can take Advanced Placement courses and take part in a range of extracurricular activities, including varsity sports.
